Hugo is an experienced UK tax advisor and a qualified member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT). Over the course of his career to date, he has worked in particular with a range of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, assisting with complex international affairs from a UK tax perspective. He stays abreast of legislative changes to provide accurate and up-to-date UK tax advice, delivering a highly personalised and forward-thinking service.
Hugo specialises in advising non-residents and expatriates on their UK tax affairs, offering clear guidance on their filing obligations and potential tax planning opportunities, with a specific focus on overseas income, assets, and international tax treaties. In addition, he has experience with UK and overseas trusts as well as inheritance tax compliance and advice.
Before becoming a tax advisor in 2022, Hugo worked as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher for five years, cultivating his interest in international culture, a perspective he brings to his work with expatriates and cross-border tax matters. As a result, he delights in practising French, Spanish, and Portuguese at work, when opportunities arise.
Outside of the office, Hugo enjoys running, swimming, and playing golf. He also values spending quality time with family and friends.
